Last year, at the JSC "Grodno Azot" during start-up operations, the synthesis column in the urea-3 shop was disabled, as a result of which it was necessary to extend the repair time, and this, of course, meant underproduction for the period of shutdown.
⠀
Any workshop downtime is a blow to the management "on the hat", so they tried to quickly hush up the situation, and Grodno Azot asked the Belneftekhim concern to extend the repair period. The chairman of the concern, obviously, was dissatisfied.
⠀
As a result, in order to fix everything as soon as possible, turning a blind eye to safety precautions, the workers were in a great hurry to eliminate defects. Then there was a series of accidents: first with poisoning and two victims, then the flaw detectorist of the Grodno Azot enterprise fell to DEATH in the same column of carbamide-3.
⠀
❗️ that, neglecting the safety of personnel, the work to restore the operability of the carbamide-3 shop was accelerated at any cost, i.e. the price of such a rush was HUMAN LIFE.
Such a situation is unthinkable in a civilized world where human rights, his life and health is the number one value. Of course, in countries with developed economies, market laws also work - no one has repealed them - no owner of an enterprise would want a downtime. But if such a situation happened, the story would cause a great resonance among the public and proceedings and courts would begin...
However, in our country (and at the same time in the neighboring Russian Federation, where the value of a citizen's life, obviously, does not matter), where the concept of “law” was replaced by the concept of “the desire of the leader”, and the courts stopped working independently a long time ago, everything, on the contrary, is like looking through the looking glass.
One more point is interesting. They try not to mention the death of an employee, and then they decided to become insolent altogether: for all the losses, money must be shaken off. From whom? - Naturally, from employees. And before that, there was also a New Year's bonus, and in order to ensure the required amount of this bonus, employees were given a smaller advance payment and some more articles in the RFP were cut. About 630 BYN “came out” in bonuses, and in fact the employees of Grodno Azot received 70 BYN more than the usual salary. And the general director plans to deduct every employee of Grodno Azot from the salary of each employee of Grodno Azot for the losses caused by the breakdown of the column. According to preliminary data, the amount planned to be withheld will be the same 70 rubles*.
*This has not yet been confirmed by any document, the management is at the planning stage and thinking about how to pull off this maneuver quietly and imperceptibly , so that the workers do not rebel.
Dear Belarusians! We strive to ensure that this ABSURD does not happen at the enterprises of Belarus! That is why we cover such topics here, so that you know what REALLY happens sometimes at the enterprises of the country, while propagandists on TV talk about that “everything is in chocolate.”
If we strive for the best, want to put things in order, live and work with dignity, we need to face the truth, admit our mistakes, try to correct them, ask ourselves questions and establish causal relationships.
The management of enterprises under the current government in Belarus is often structured in such a way that in any accident, it is the workers who are trying to impose a sense of guilt, and then also to suggest that they themselves must pay for their " errors".
