High-ranking officials were detained at Naftan JSC at their workplaces:
- the head of the production and technical equipment department Sokolov Nikolai Grigoryevich
- Deputy Chief Mechanic for Modernization and Repairs Barokha Sergey Nikolayevich
The detentions are connected with the investigation of the criminal case on corruption and organized crime for embezzlement during the construction of the Delayed Coking Complex, which is maintained by the main department of the central apparatus of the Investigative Committee.
During the construction and commissioning of this facility, many strange events took place: from hammered nails into power cables that they wanted to hang on the strikers , apparently trying to hide their theft and mistakes, to start-up fires and injuries to employees.
